Summary

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), Division of Recycling will host the first in a series of focus group workshops to discuss potential solutions to the structural deficit in the Beverage Container Recycling Fund (Fund), and to ensure the long-term viability of the Beverage Container Recycling Program (Program).  This focus group workshop will focus exclusively on program reform ideas associated with improving cash flow and reducing payables.  Specific program reform ideas previously offered by CalRecycle fall within the focus areas outlined below: 

Workshop Focus Areas:

·         Establish criteria for distribution of unspent Fund balance/reduce 14581 payments
