Summary

The main purpose of the workshop is to get stakeholder feedback on tire market incentive policies, specifically incentive payment approaches modeled on the Plastics Market Development Incentive Payment Program authorized under Assembly Bill 3056 (Chapter 907, Statutes of 2006, and as amended by AB 1149, Chapter 486, Statutes of 2011) and national and international extended producer responsibility programs. The workshop will also feature a brief presentation of preliminary findings from the 2011 Waste Tire Market Report (a draft of this report is expected to be released for comment in early May).
