This report was prepared under contract from the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, also known as CalRecycle. This report surveyed certified California recyclers to provide estimates of the cost per ton to recycle aluminum, bi-metal, glass, and plastic (for seven different resin types) beverage containers. Recycling center costs measured by this survey were used for the processing payment and processing fee calculation, effective Feb. 28, 2014.
