Description
Legislation (Chapter 816, Statutes, of 1998, Woods, AB 2273) requires the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA) to submit a report to the Legislature on the existence, status, and progress of public policy strategies for the biomass-to-energy industry. Prepared for Cal/EPA by the Integrated Waste Management Board, this status report is the second one submitted. It includes provisions enacted in the last two years that acknowledge the benefits of biomass-to-energy production and provide economic support to the industry.
