Provides examples of how communities in California conduct special events for recycling bulky goods, textiles, electronics, and miscellaneous items. One of 24 studies showcasing successful recycling and waste reduction programs developed by local and regional government to achieve California's 50 percent waste diversion goals. The studies were developed with the support of the California Integrated Waste Management Board.
