Exported includes waste sent by California to other states, other countries or to tribal and indian lands. Total Imported is the total amount of waste imported into California landfills from tribal and indian lands, another state or another country and includes imported transformation waste.

Starting October 1, 2019, CalRecycle switched from gathering data using DRS to gathering data using the Recycling and Disposal Reporting System (RDRS). Please navigate to the RDRS Public Reports Page to view data collected after October 1, 2019.

ADC means CalRecycle-approved alternative daily cover materials other than soil used as a temporary overlay on an exposed landfill face. Note: The reported ADC tonnage may include some amounts used for other beneficial uses, due to variability in local reporting systems.

Report Summary

Total Disposal is the total amount of waste disposed at a landfill (does not include ADC, AIC, other beneficial reuse or transformation) and the total amount of waste exported out of state to landfills or transformation facilities.
