This item presents a summary of staff’s analysis of the following document submitted by MED-Project on August 28, 2026, for its home-generated sharps stewardship program:

Revised 2025 Annual Report, including:

a.    Attachment A – Requests and Distribution by County 

b.    Attachment B – Daily Impressions for Digital Media 

c.    Attachment C – List of Sharps Covered Entities 

d.    Attachment D – List of Sharps Covered Products 

e.    Attachment E – Local Agency Requests 

MED-Project was required to submit a revised annual report for its covered drugs stewardship program within 60 days of June 29, 2026 (by August 28, 2026), that addressed the deficiencies identified in the Request for Action titled, Review of MED-Project's 2025 Annual Report for Home-Generated Sharps Waste.

CalRecycle has 90 days from the date of receipt of a complete annual report to review the document and adopt a finding of approval, conditional approval, or disapproval.
