Proposed Regulations: Tire Brokers
Description
CalRecycle proposes to enact new regulations governing tire brokers pursuant to Assembly Bill (AB) 1647 (Gordon, Chapter 534, statutes of 2012). This law required, in part, that tire brokers who arrange for the shipment of used or waste tires that are imported into, exported from, or pass through California, to register with and to submit periodic information to CalRecycle on the tire shipments they arrange. AB 1647 was codified in the Public Resources Code in sections 42950(i), 42952(b), 42957, and 42961.7.
