This needs assessment consists of several studies to address the requirements of the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act (Senate Bill 54, Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022). These studies provide the basis for designing an effective plan to reduce plastic waste and support California's circular economy.
