This report, part of the California Integrated Waste Management Board's unique, comprehensive, cross-media Landfill Facility Compliance Study, compares California’s landfill regulations with those from eight states and five countries. The report also compares federal regulations with those from the eight states and California and identifies elements that, if applied in California, could possibly improve or enhance California’s multimedia regulation of landfills.
