This contract report was prepared for the California Department of Toxic Substances Control and the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). The report estimates the resource requirements and environmental impacts of the PET bottle product system in California, and evaluates a hypothetical materials recovery scenario in which bottles are reclaimed and used within the state of California.
