This report, prepared under contract from the California Integrated Waste Management Board, includes recommendations for (1) legislative action to promote waste prevention, (2) actions to improve packaging and product design, (3) actions to develop and implement product durability standards, and (4) actions to reduce toxicity of packaging and products.
