Includes case studies of programs in El Monte, Monterey Park, San Jose, San Francisco, and Sunnyvale. One of 24 studies showcasing successful recycling and waste reduction programs developed by local and regional government to achieve California's 50 percent waste diversion goals. The studies were developed with the support of the California Integrated Waste Management Board.
