Information About Suppressed Employee Count Data

Commercial waste characterization estimates are partially based upon data provided by the California Employment Development Department (EDD) on employee counts per jurisdiction. To maintain confidentiality of businesses, the data provided by EDD to CalRecycle suppresses employee counts if, in general, there are fewer than three establishments in the selected business group and jurisdiction, or if a single employer makes up more than 80 percent of the employment in that industry.
