Residential Disposal Compositions for California Regions

Below are residential disposed waste compositions by material type organized by region as identified in CalRecycle's 2014 Waste Characterization Study. For comparison, the statewide average single family composition is also shown. Multifamily data is available only at the statewide level. Annual per-employee commercial disposal, diversion, and generation rates per business group, and per-housing unit rates for multifamily, are shown here. Diversion and generation data was not gathered for single-family residences.
